So instead of an informal agreement over what the press would or would not cover, the relationship today has become much more direct: report the story in a way the White House finds objectionable, and access to the President may become part of the fight.
Regardless, to this blogger, whether you like how something’s portrayed in the media does not give any elected official or bureaucrat the to extend the authority. It’s a violation to limit the voices of those in independent media. Furthermore, it’s bad for Florida to allow a bill like this to see the light of day, and it would be equally as bad for any legislator in Hawaii to think they could introduce something similar.
We as a people need to celebrate that, the fact that we at the end allowed Trump (or anyone for that matter) their right to litigate a result. It is the thing that makes America admired by others in other countries where one has no rights to litigate an issue.
